AIM

To ensure that individuals seeking a career change or affected by an enforced career move are provided with the tools, understanding and skills to move to the next stage of their career with confidence.

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

Highly personalised, this modular approach to outplacment is designed to meet the individual needs of those affected by an enforced career move. Ideally run on a one on one basis, or alternatively in small groups, the programme can flex to meet the specific requirments of individuals. Additional on line support is provided via our outplacement career toolkit.

CONTENT

• Module 1. PRELIMINARY MEETING
This is your time to discuss your needs and goals and deal with any immediate issues.
At this meeting a Self-Appraisal Questionnaire may be issued for completion prior to your next meeting.

• Module 2. CAREER REVIEW MEETING
To consider issues arising from your career.
Personal circumstances;
Review of professional and personal skills, abilities, strengths and weaknesses;
Shaping career and life goals;
Setting career objectives.

• Module 3. CAREER ASSESSMENT
This module is useful for those who wish to consider major career change:
Interim/temporary employment, consulting, self-employment or setting up their own business. This module will provide the opportunity to identify and evaluate possible options before determining career objectives.

• Module 4. CV DEVELOPMENT
Understanding the principles of developing a tailor-made CV that reflects you and your career to-date.

• Module 5. SELF MARKETING
Coaching in the various routes to the market and in self-marketing techniques covering both prospective employers and networking contacts. Letter writing and telephone techniques.

• Module 6. INTERVIEWING & COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Preparation for interviews and network meetings including image presentation, role playing and optional closed circuit television interview and feedback.
